How long will it take to build my case?
If you are ordering a standard case, chances are we may have one ready and in stock. If not, building time for standard cases is approximately 3 to 5 working days. If you are ordering a custom case construction time depends on several things; the complexity of the case; if components have to be ordered and the number of orders currently under construction. Generally, it will take approximately 1 to 3 weeks lead time. Obviously, if the order is for a large number of cases, it will take longer.

I see others cases listed on the Internet for less money…Why?
Showcase builds durable cases that will endure the rigors of life on the road over a very long period of time. Construction that allows that type of durability obviously may cost a bit more on the front end, but should end up costing less over the life of the case. See the section on “Why We Are Better” for details of construction.

What happens if I live outside of Nashville? How will you know what size to build my case?
There are several ways we can obtain the correct dimensions for both the proper case size and right foaming. You can either measure the item or, in the case of guitars, amps etc., we can often find the specifications from the manufacturer and build according to those measurements. We can give you instructions for how to measure to be sure that the dimensions work. If you are in the Nashville area, we prefer that you bring the instrument or item by for us to measure and fit it to the case.

How do you handle shipping?
Shipping can be handled via UPS if the item is relatively small. If it is a very large case we will ship via BAX Global. The shipping fee will be added to the cost of your case. Obviously rush shipments will be more costly than shipments with plenty of lead time.

Do you have a warranty on cases you build?
We will give a 1 year warranty for parts, material and workmanship. Our goal is for your case to work for you and will usually be able to “make it right’ if you run into problems.

Are your cases ATA rated?
Yes. Our cases are built to Airline Transportation Association of America for commercial airlines shipping

Do your cases meet airline weight limits?
We design three types of cases. The first is a "road worthy" case that is constructed using heavier materials which are intended for the Road Musician and any customer that frequently ships by common carrier (UPS etc.). These usually do not meet the airline weight limits and may result in an extra charge. The second is constructed using lighter materials and in most cases for normal sized instruments (guitars, dobros etc.), it will come in under 50 lb weight limits. The third type is a new innovation by Showcase the "Silver Bullet." This design uses our standard light weight construction and basic space frame unitized structure, but with a bidirectional plastic panel covered in a full hard Stainless Steel skin giving a striking, strong and very light weight package. (Panels weigh 1/3 of our standard birch panels per square foot).

What kind of foam do you use and how thick is it?
Different types of foam are used for specific circumstances. We have varieties of both soft and hard foam and will select the right foam for the need. Often there is a mix of foam types in a single case.

What color can I get for the outside?
Cases are usually built with black as the exterior and interior color which is included in the standard price. Other colors are available at an additional charge. The color selection is vast but ordering specific colors may delay production on the case as well as generating the additional charge. Note: Showcase is now stocking five standard colors in addition to black. (Red, Blue, Green, White, & Gray) These colors can be substituted for an additional up charge of $50.00 per case. "Silver Bullet" Ultra-Lite cases are only available in the reflective silver like skin.

Can you put our name on the outside of the case?
Due to the amount of labor involved as well as problems obtaining equipment and supplies, we are no longer are able to stencil names etc. on the outside of cases.
